Realme Is Developing Its Own Flagship OS For Smartphones

Realme has been a popular budget smartphone brand in India recently so of course, they would want to appease their users with features that have been requested repeatedly. But as the company has been using Oppo's for its smartphones, it has been unable to deliver certain features.

To overcome this hurdle, Realme has now decided to develop its own OS which is expected to be based on Android Q.
Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the company is working on the new OS but did not mention any details about it. The company's OS is expected to release towards the end of this year or early next year. Existing Realme phones could be upgraded to the self-developed OS eventually.
As there are no details about the OS, there are a lot of speculations about the in-house platform. OnePlus' Oxygen OS is closer to the stock android experience while Oppo’s Color OS, which Realme uses in its smartphones, is said to be tremendously tweaked. There are various speculations about what path Realme is going to take with its operating system.
Madhav Sheth has previously mentioned that stock Android does not provide the right experience. According to him, Realme strives to provide the best value-added features while also, providing the reliability and performance of stock Android.
The Realme 5 is set to launch on August 20 and with its launch, we might be able to get updates on the in-house OS the company is working on.
