ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo, ZenBook Duo With Dual Displays Launched In India, See the price and specs

Unveiled earlier at Computex in Taiwan this year, the very ambitious ASUS ZenBook Duo series has finally made its way to India. It is the first laptop series in the world to sport two displays. The series consists of two models; a 14-inch variant and a 15-inch variant, both of which, have secondary sizeable displays above the keyboard that provides for a bigger canvas for art.

ZenBook Duo UX481
The ZenBook Duo UX481 is the start of the line and comes with a 14-inch FullHD display with a secondary 12.6-inch touch screen that works in tandem with the primary display. The bottom display is rightly called the ScreenPad Plus and is very similar to the ScreenPads we’ve seen on other ASUS laptops. The screen can float apps of its own or also behave like an extension of the primary display. This is particularly targeted to media-heavy users who edit on-the-go. For instance, the secondary display provides a touch interface that makes it easier to scroll through the video timeline while editing.

To accommodate the secondary display, the laptop lacks a palm rest and the trackpad is moved to the bottom-right corner. The display panel also houses the webcam at the top-center and is accompanied by IR sensors for face unlock.

The laptop is available in configurations of up to a 10th Gen Intel i7-10510U, up to 16GB of RAM, up to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics, and up to 1TB of PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. The laptop houses a 70Whr 4-cell lithium-polymer battery that supports fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the laptop offers a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader slot. The Duo has support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth WiFi and houses Harmon Kardon certified speakers. Despite all it fits, the laptop weighs 1.5 kilograms which are quite impressive.

ZenBook Pro Duo UX581
The ZenBook Pro Duo is the supercharged variant of the ZenBook Duo and sits at the top of the chain. The laptop has a primary 15-inch 4K OLED display that is accompanied by a 4K 14-inch secondary display. If the dual-display isn't enough, the Pro Duo can also support two external 4K displays simultaneously to offer an insane 4-screen setup.

The internals gets a boost too with the Pro Duo supporting up to a 9th Gen Intel i9 CPU, up to 32GB of RAM and up to an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU. Like the ZenBook Duo, the Pro Duo has an ErgoLift hinge that lifts the keyboard and the screen for a better typing and viewing experience.

In terms of connectivity, the Pro Duo shares the same features as its younger brother. The ZenBook Pro Duo also has a fan that can be manually switched on to cool the laptop during intense sessions of editing or gaming. The laptop also has 5 heat pipes to keep things cool. It supports Alexa and has a dedicated light strip to show when Alexa is listening. But unfortunately, at the time of writing, Alexa isn't available on Windows 10 in India yet. The ZenBook Pro Duo tips the scale at 1.5 kilograms.

Pricing
The ZenBook Duo starts at a price of INR 89,990 for the base variant that is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD. The ZenBook Pro Duo, on the other hand, starts at INR 2,09,990. The laptops also come with an ASUS Pen in the box that supports up to 1024 pressure levels. To make up for the lack of a palm rest, ASUS will also sell a palm rest add-on for a more comfortable typing experience.
