iPhone SE 2 Price, Specifications

The iPhone SE, when first released, was Apple’s homage to Apple fans who weren’t fans of growing screen sizes. 3 years after its launch, reports indicate that Apple is about to go for a second round with the iPhone SE 2. Rumored to be released in the first quarter of 2020, the iPhone SE 2 will be Apple’s cheapest phone on offer. Today, courtesy of the reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we have more information on the iPhone SE 2.

The original iPhone SE was released alongside the iPhone 6S and shared the same internals as the more expensive iPhone. According to Kuo, following along the same lines, the iPhone SE 2 will also be powered by the A13 Bionic that is found in the flagship Apple iPhone 11 series. But instead of the 4GB of RAM that’s found in the 11 series, the SE 2 will feature 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The note by Kuo further mentions that the phone will be available in two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB.

A previous report by Kuo mentioned that the iPhone SE 2 will feature a design that’s similar to the iPhone 8 that was released alongside the iPhone X in 2017. Given that the price of the new phone is estimated to be $399, this is something prospective users won’t mind. This also means that the phone will most likely not have Face ID and will instead ship with the iconic Apple home button that will have support for Touch ID. Kuo says that that the iPhone SE 2 will be a popular upgrade option for iPhone 6 and 6S users. The phone is expected to be available in Space Gray, Silver, and Product Red color.
