Redmi K30 might have Quad-Camera Module and 5G branding

Redmi has finally given us a glimpse of the upcoming Redmi flagship – the Redmi K30. The teaser images show the all-new back of the phone that evidently reads a different chapter from the Chinese OEMs design book.

The teaser image of the phone shows a design that is much more subtle than that of the Redmi K20 series that had a fiery design. The phone now seems to sport a matte finish with a purple hue that is on the lighter side of the color spectrum. The more interesting part of the design is the camera module and the ring that surrounds it.

The K30 Pro’s quad-camera module sits in a vertical format at the center of the phone. The module itself sits in a circle that flaunts a different finish than the rest of the back. While not much can be said about the exact design, it is definitely more reflective than the matte-finish back. In a way, it’s very reminiscent of what Huawei did with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro series that had a circular camera ring with a different finish.

Some other images that are circulating the internet show a similar phone albeit with three cameras. Unlike the image official teased, it also doesn’t have a 5G logo just below the camera setup. This might mean that the official teaser image might be of the Redmi K30 5G or the Redmi K30 Pro 5G. A 4G version of the Redmi K30 Pro is also expected in countries like India that don’t have 5G networks available yet.

The Redmi K30 has been confirmed to be powered by a 5G-ready Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that will most likely be unveiled at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit that’s currently underway in Maui.
