Vivo X30 Confirmed To Have Periscope Camera With 60x Zoom

Vivo took to Weibo to release an official teaser image and video that gives us a glimpse of what the phone has to offer. The teaser image of the phone gives us a look at the camera setup of the phone. The phone has a vertically-aligned triple-camera setup that is rumored to consist of a primary 64MP sensor, a secondary 8MP sensor, and a tertiary 13MP sensor. The periscope sensor sits right next to the triple-camera setup and is teased to offer up to 60x zoom capabilities.

The video throws more light on the design of the phone. The Vivo X30 will be made available in gradient colorways of Black, Coral and a third color that reflects blue, white and purple. The display up front has a hole-punch cut-out for a single selfie camera. The display itself is rumored to be an AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The phone has also been confirmed to have support for 5G. Powering the 5G capabilities on the phone is a Samsung Exynos 980 5G SoC that was recently unveiled by Samsung. The Exynos 980 5G SoC is a mid-range processor from the house of Samsung that has an integrated 5G modem and is based on an 8nm manufacturing process.

Vivo has confirmed that the phone will launch in China sometime in December. At the time of writing, there’s no word on whether the Vivo X30 will make it other markets like India.
